If you don’t remember, we reported last month that HTC U11 could get support for Bluetooth 5.0 in a future update. Earlier this week, news about HTC enabling 60 FPS video recording (1080p) for the U11 emerged as well.
Today, HTC Taiwan confirmed that a new firmware is now being pushed to HTC U11 devices. The official changelog mentions HTC U11 users will be able to record videos in 1080p resolution and 60 fps.
In addition, the smartphone will get Bluetooth 5.0 compatibility, thus expect your HTC U11 to feature longer connectivity range, lower power usage, and higher transmission bandwidth.
Even though HTC promised to bring even more Squeeze Gestures to the HTC U11, this update doesn’t contain any, so don’t go looking for them just yet. Finally, the update adds a new security patch (probably August) and some stability improvements.
