From the front, they look almost identical to the Galaxy S8, at least we can’t really tell much of a difference, or if the bezels are indeed thinner than the S8 and S8+ like the rumors suggested. Flip these puppies over, though, and quite a different picture is painted, and we don’t mean the new lilac and what seems to be a darker gray, colors.
The S9+ indeed sports a dual camera set on the back, unlike the single lens shooter on the S9, which might explain why the alleged price differential between the two is said to be larger than what the gap between the S8 and S8+ was at launch. In another new development that has been widely speculated on already, the fingerprint scanner has been moved from where it is on the S8/+, to a bit more logical place beneath the camera, though it still seems that lens smudges might be an issue until one gets used to the new position.
As for the software, the pictures don’t really tell much, but it looks like a standard run-of-the-mill Samsung Experience UI, regardless of the version. Still, there is one thing that catches attention, and it is an app called AR Emoji, which sounds suspiciously like the rumored “3D Emoji” the S9 and S9+ were supposed to have, or digital avatars that you can command with facial expressions.
In any case, there’s no point in guessing what it is, as all will be revealed to a great fanfare tomorrow, and we will be relaying all the info to you live as soon as we get it from Samsung’s announcers.
