Not a fan of htc though pretty excited to see if they manage to stand on their bold claims considering the past shows otherwise.
Price will again be crucial for the success and I really hope they learn from their mistakes
Sammy beware!

Even though I’m a big fan of HTC, it would have been much more believable had they said: “we are obsessed with providing you OUR best ever smartphone for shooting photos and videos.”

For easy reference, also OIS and 4K video record (at least 8.3 MP 16:9, probably 12MP 4:3)

This basically confirms the IMX377+OIS+f/1.8 rumors

The 6P is very close to the S7, even without OIS and being only f/2.0
If HTC dont mess up the image processing, this should top the S7

“4MP Ultrapixel camera on the back of the HTC One (M8).”
You mean the ” M7 ” not the ” M8 ” .

Actually they are right, it still has that, just with a 2MP secondary sensor on top

I think Samsung Galaxy S7 has the best camera till Note 6 or iPhone 7 Plus comes out…htc smartphones always have mid range camera

LG G5 has the best camera phone this year.

on strong light the 16MP camera in LG G5 will shine even brighter.
it’s funny though GSMArena stated that S7 failed to focus in certain scenes.

M8 also featured a 4 MP camera but with the addition of a second lens ( camera) which was used to capture depth information to give you that boken effect that other OEM were able to simulate pretty well in software. I for one am rooting for HtC I really hope they blow us away. They did with the M7

Software added bokeh is a joke when there is no Depth Of Field information from a second sensor, . With no DOF info software bokeh applies bokeh to an image in a 2D plane so a portion of the image is in focus and the rest of the image outside of the selected portion is out of focus. So background subjects that are near the main subject in the photo are still in focus even though they may be 100s of feet or yards behind or in front of the main subject.

Real bokeh in photography is based on depth of field determined by aperture and focal length. The amount of bokeh blur an object has depends on how far behind or in front of the main subject that’s in focus.

In order to apply bokeh properly via Software there must be DOF info available. In a camera that has no adjustable aperture or focal length, the only way to achieve this is via a 2nd sensor.

Because of the second sensor, the One M8 camera excelled when it came to images with bokeh, at least for a phone. In virtually all other aspects of photography the M8 had an inferior camera. But it was acceptable.

If you want a good camera, buy a good camera and learn photography.

I really hope HTC delivers with the 10 because they are hyping it up so much and HTC just can’t afford to fail.

I hope they really name it HTC 10, not HTC M10 or HTC One 10 or HTC One (M10).

Yeah, just a clean HTC 10 will be good.

HTC is being very bold with their claims. Hopefully it won’t be like what they said for mwc last year

Started baking some humble pie for all the Samsung fanboys who already think the S7 has the best camera of 2016.

Will be exciting to see if HTC backs it up with what they say. Adding OIS and ditching the Toshiba sensors is a start. Atleast there teasers and adds are better than there cheesy rap video that they had last year. I just hope there not too late to the game. Samsung Galaxy S7 has already been out for a month & LG G5 is already out.

Hahaha, this is probably one of the best jokes of the year!! Keep on dreaming HTC, nowadays it’s Samsung and Apple that are on the top in camera and with LG close behind. 😉

They probably mean the best HTC camera ever which still won’t be able to compete with the rest. I hope I’m wrong.

Might get this since LG New Zealand just told me that they’ve got no plans to sell the G5 here.

at least HTC learned how to make commercials !
which enough reason to sell phones , when these commercials start popping everywhere and for example fill youtube , the phone will make success .

already no competition now the S7 and G5 wave already passed with S7 on top and G5 to fail , it hasn’t hit the right spot in market yet.

so perfect timing , I think HTC will get itself back on track only if they made enough of the right commercials everywhere !
as a phone , nobody cares about any smartphone ! cause now they all do the same !

commercials are making the huge numbers and these few people who cares are really minor , the 10 or 20 million people that buy phones buy on looks or brand name and a good commercial !

best of luck HTC

PDAF
Laser Auto Focus

Good luck HTC, you can do this.

“The device is rumored to have front-facing stereo speakers” numerous visual leaks suggest that there is no front facing speakers Also photos of the actual device shows no signs of front set up.

There is a single front speaker and a bottom facing speaker, that will be used together.

But your right there are no stereo front facing ones.
